Michael A. Baldasarre (Ret. Lt. PFD), age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 13, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire A. (Cornell) Baldasarre.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Domenic and Dorothea (Dee) Baldasarre. He lived in Providence for most of his life before moving to South Kingstown to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren.

He became a member of the Providence Fire Department in 1968 and was a Lieutenant until he had to retire due to injury in 1987. He was a member of the Providence Firefighters Union Local 799 and a member of the Providence Firefighters Relief Association where he served as treasurer for twelve years.

Michael was a Life Member of the South Kingstown Elks Lodge 1899.

He was the loving father of Lori L. Wentworth (Charles) and Susan A. May (Corey); cherished grandfather of Tatum, Jack, and Ava Wentworth and Michael, Matthew and Christopher May; brother of Judith Arsenault (the late Norman), Kathleen McKenna (Daniel), and the late Domenic Baldasarre, Barbara O’Brien, and Linda Duhaime; and uncle of several nieces and nephews.

His visitation will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd, Warwick followed by a service in the funeral home at 12:00 pm. Burial will be private.
