All Posts, The Way I See It|

Let me begin this message with Christmas greetings to all our members and the best wishes for all going forward into a new year. Hopefully a new year filled with health and happiness for all of our families and loved ones!

I haven’t been posting monthly messages in quite a while but wish to begin once again to help keep our members advised of new goings on that might have an effect on us all.

First, a quick reminder of our annual Christmas party coming next Wednesday, December 21st. This is a great time to get together with friends for a toast to the holidays, share a few stories and keep up with changes in each other’s lives. As always members are encouraged to take a guest to the celebration. Our monthly meeting will not be held but any concerns can be passed to our E-board at this time.

With a new year very close we are in the process of attempting to change this website to be more user friendly and an improved tool to reach our members in between monthly meetings. I have been working with our webpage host to update our contact list of members who have previously signed up via this page to be kept informed. Unfortunately, the list of members is over 7 years old and has no corresponding link to members names.

When we fix the problem I will post here for members to re-enter their personal information and email addresses. This way we will have an up-to-date data base of members on this website and, more importantly, a way to send out a group message to members own emails. This will allow us to keep members better informed about any issue that is of interest to us all.

Pending legislation, get togethers, special meetings and even medical questionnaires in an attempt to help document links to common health maladies of our occupations in order to better serve and protect our members going forward are examples of things that can more easily conveyed and documented with this tool.

In closing this month I’d like to once again wish everyone health and happiness going forward and remind you that we’re in the process of improving our ability to better serve your needs.

Stay safe!
